Captain, Washington County/JC EMS
National Registered / TN State Paramedic – 20 Years
SWAT Medic – 20 Years
Flight Medic

“Ski” was raised in Southern California, which explains why he is so cool and likes CrossFit so much. He was a multi-sport athlete, a martial artist, and rode any kind of board at high speed, whether in the ocean, on the road, or down a mountain (you know how people from California are).

Mike is a full time Captain at the Washington County / JC EMS, and is also a SWAT Medic and Flight Medic. Mike teaches our morning and mid day classes, manages our social media and website, and handles management responsibilities on his days off from EMS duties.

He is husband to his lovely wife Chantale Skowronski, father to his son Jacob Skowronski, who is an Exercise Science Major at ETSU, and best friend to Sully, who is an Alaskan Malamute and the size of a small grizzly bear.

Mike’s favorite part about coaching is helping others reach goals they thought were unattainable and the camaraderie forged when a group of strangers become family during WODs.
