Dustin is the founder and owner of CrossFit Johnson City. He played football and baseball at Maryville College and was introduced to CrossFit shortly after, in 2006. He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from ETSU in 2009 and his MBA from Milligan College in 2015.
Dustin has won several local CrossFit and weightlifting competitions and ranked 105th in 2012 and 98th in 2013 in the Central East Region in the CrossFit Open. He no longer competes, but remains an avid CrossFitter with the goals of health and longevity as his main focus.
Dustin is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, U.S.A. Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, CrossFit Movement and Mobility Trainer, and a CrossFit Strongman Trainer.
“Ski” was raised in Southern California, where he was a multi-sport athlete. Mike is a full time Captain at the Washington County / Johnson City EMS, and is a Tactical SWAT Medic and flew for WINGS Air Rescue as a Flight Medic. He is husband to his lovely wife Chantale Skowronski, father to his son Jacob Skowronski, and best friend to Sulley, who is an Alaskan Malamute the size of a small grizzly bear.
Mike is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer.
Kalee was recruited from the Olympic Training Center in Colorado and is on a weightlifting scholarship at ETSU. Kalee has a competitive background in Gymnastics and CrossFit, and has her CrossFit L1, CrossFit Kids, and CrossFit Gymnastics certs. She is now focusing on her weightlifting career with the 2020 Olympic Games in her sites.
Kalee is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Kids Trainer and CrossFit Gymnastics Trainer.
Phil is easily one of the best athletes in our region. He has won several local and regional CrossFit and weightlifting competitions. He started doing CrossFit in 2007 with Dustin. They did WOD’s in his garage, handstand pushups on an oak tree in the front yard, and pullups on his balcony steps. He is truly one of the original gangsters of CrossFit in the Tri-Cities. Phil is freakishly strong. He has snatched 283, cleaned 375, and squatted 525.
Phil is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
Ellen was recruited from the Olympic Training Center to ETSU to finish school on a scholarship. During her time at the training center in Colorado Springs, Ellen has been on several international teams some of which are Youth Pan Americans (2009), Youth Worlds (2011), Junior Worlds (2012 &2013), and had the privilege of being an alternate at the World Championships in Kazakhstan last year. Ellen won the National Championships in 2012 as well as taking the gold for USA at the Junior Pan Americans in 2014.
Ellen is a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.
Aaron has spent a great deal of time helping athletes at CFJC over the past several years. He is an excellent instructor, and helps lead our Fit Kids class. He is an avid CrossFitter and mixed martial artist. He is currently pursuing his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.
Blake moved to Johnson City from Cookeville, where he trained under Rich Froning at CrossFit Mayhem. He is a Junior at ETSU and is currently pursuing his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.
Brandon was a stud athlete at Central High School. He probably could have turned pro at any sport, but instead decided to focus on his career in commercial banking. Brandon has a background in powerlifting and bodybuilding, and was introduced to CrossFit a few years ago. He remains freakishly strong, and one day he hopes to be as strong as his wife Brittany Farmer. He is currently pursuing his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.
Andrew was a 6 year USS Swim Coach before discovering CrossFit in 2013. He is a Spartan Race enthusiast and completed a ``trifecta`` last year. He enjoys long walks on the beach and his favorite color is aqua-marine. Andrew is currently pursuing his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.
